Co-instructing with Doug
A week of very cold clear weather with heavy frosts.
Day 1
Classroom theory: building a survival kit, firelighting, shelter building, water catchments.
Day 2
Out in the field, firelighting practice, navigation, trap building, shelter building.
Day 3
Water collction practice and more trap building. Then out for the night. Students were not allowed tents, sleeping bags or bed rolls, they could have just 10 items. Walked out past the swamp area and gave each student an area of about 50m in radius. monitored them overnight.
Day 4
Reviewed each of their shelters, walked back and debriefed the week.
