Day 1 and 2
Spent the first couple of days running and "eco challenge" where teams followed a string on a 400m loop in the bush, on the way there were cards with information about different species in the bush. They then had to come back and link all this information together spider wed style.
Day 3 and 4
Ran with the Rosehill team. They were new, a bit undercooked and likely to get lost, but they were fantastic personalities.
Started from Iwakau Village and there over 100 controls on the way back to OPC. Rosehill did indeed get lost (ish) in some very thick bush. Camped on the farm next to the Whakapapaiti and then made our way back just in time to the finish line.
Day 5
Marshalled for the race on the lake. Had to manage lots of very cold and exhausted partisipants. Awarded Rosehill the Synergy prize.
