Co-instructing with Bridget (new Eductation coordinator)
A very cold wet week, cleared up on the last day.
Year 11
9 Girls
Auckland girls who all chose to be here at OPC, but city girls none the less. They had been on a few camps but always had issues with cattiness and sometimes even bullying. I focused a lot on soft skills, identifying what kind of leader they were, how they tend to react to people (and how they could improve) and then putting it into practice. They made great progress throughout the week, and left saying it was the best camp they had been on and had some great learnings in our debrief.
Day 1
Local activities, navigation and bush bash, flying fox, swamp.
Day 2
High ropes, tube float.
Day 3
Caving, walked to Jo's cave for the night.
Day 4
Walked back from Jo's cave, clean up, final challenge and debrief.
