Me and Tim
Day 1 : walked up to Sefton Bivvy, took us about 4 hours, no snow until above the hut, went for a bit on an explore up there in the evening.
Day 2: The plan was to go to the Coupland shelter via the hooker glacier, only made it to about 1600m and a really steep bit on the ridge before we decided that we should turn around as we didn't have the experience. There is a metal cable as a handline up the moraine wall which the DOC guys said not to touch as it had been damaged n a rock fall, turns out the damage was only at the bottom and the rest of the cable was fine (after not using it). Pretty scary little climb up the moraine wall. Walked back out to the car.
