Story
Day 1
Rumbling Gut, teaching the students quick anchors and belays, working as a team in a cave, spotting each other. How to move in a cave.
Day 2
Waipuna, cave navigation, and formations. Lucky Stike, a bit of fun! Managing the team in a more canyoning style cave with a lot of water, went under a couple of ducks.
Day 3
Exit 7 (Gardners Gut) This day was about rigging and navigation in a more complex cave system. Spent half the time navigating and practicing quick and simple hand lines and belay, then the other half rigging abseils and ladders.
Day 4
Zwihollen (Gardners Gut) A quick morning trip for the students to lead themselves through and do all the rigging. My crew really enjoyed putting it all together and "speed caving".
