25 cumecs
Testing out how the new Mavericks (two person inflatable kayaks) perform. We stopped in at the trout centre along the way.
Day 4
Flat water training with Matt Bennett, focusing on flat water progressions for students. Then River session on the Tongariro in the afternoon working on personal skills.
Day 5
Education stuff with Bridget in the morning
Upper Mangatepopo training trip in the afternoon.Normal water levels. We split into 2 groups, Kieran leading one and me running the other, about seven people in each group. Good discussions were had about safe and not so safe methods and places to go/be. The burly slide into the big pool was decided to be a not quite a goer, the slide into the pool with the hand line worked well and the track to the big jump still needs benching.
