This was a super cool group, all very keen for big adventures, so they achieved a lot and had a great time.
Day 1: Okupata cave, up the dry valley to the Pukehinau, which was totally freezing and quite full of water.
Day 2: Emma took them for local day. ABL, High Ropes and Swamp.
Day 3: Tongariro via the west ridge. Made the summit. Popped out of the inversion layer about 100m from the summit for some cool views. Got to do some low vis nav.
Day 4: Taranaki Falls abseil in windy wet weather, then out to the caves where we dropped off our van and walked back towards OPC, had a late one and the kids did great in the dark and wet.
Day 5: Flying fox then pack up.
